Mrs. Bartel was called to St. Paul in 2000.  She is a graduate of Concordia University – Mequon with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Math.  She has also taught at St. John's Lutheran School in Berlin and St. Paul's Lutheran School in Manawa.  She currently teaches 4th grade and 7th grade math.

I have always wanted to be a teacher and knew that working with children is something I wanted to do. The Lord led me to three wonderful Lutheran Schools where He has taught me so much about His unconditional love for us.  It is amazing to look back at the schools He has led me to to get me where I am today at St. Paul.  It is at these schools where I met my husband, Joel, and have found so much happiness teaching God's Wrod.  It is a complete joy to be able to pray with my students and teach them about our loving Father.  I absolutely love teaching in the Lutheran Schools, and can't imagine my life doing anything else.  Our mission, "Centered in the Word-Pointing People to Jesus" is continually being focused on in my classroom.  My biggest joy teaching is watching a child pray and using the knowledge they have about God to help them through their life.

I was born and raised in Waupaca.  I am married to Joel and have two boys, Elijah and Elliot.  Both of my boys have attended St. Paul since Pre-School.  I enjoy watching my boys play golf and hockey.  I love to take bike rides, take walks, and spend time with my mom (who lives across the road from me.)
