Our Beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God...
2 Tim. 3:16-17
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

We believe in a Triune God...
Deut. 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."
Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all neations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
John 5:23 "that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him."
1 John 2:23 "No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also."
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
1 John 2:1 "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One." 1 John 2:2 "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Genesis 2:7 "The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man become a living being."
Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
Psalm 143:3 "The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in the darkness like those long dead."

The Law of God teaches us what God desires from us...
Matthew 5:48 "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Leviticus 19:2 "Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy."

Every thought, word, and deed that is contrary to God's law is sin...
1 John 3:4 "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness."
John 3:6 "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit."

The Gospel message tells us that despite our sin, God has loved us...
Ezekiel 33:11 "Say to them, As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?"
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Romans 3:21-24 "But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Because of our sin God promised a Savior...
John 5:20 "For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these."
John 5:23 "that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him."
John 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?"

Repentance is acknowledgement of sin and sincere regret for it...
Isaiah 55:6-7 "Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."
Matthew 4:17 "From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.' "
2 Cor. 7:10 "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

We believe that conversion is not a mere changing of habits...
Joel 2:13 "Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity."
Ezekiel 11:19 "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."
Romans 10:17 "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heart through the word of Christ."

We are now Justified...
2 Cor. 5:19 "that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins agains them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."

Acts 22:16 "And now whart are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name."

The Lord's Supper...
Matthew 26:26-28 "While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take and eat; this is my body.' "
1 Cor. 10:16 "Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?"
1 Cor. 11:26-29 "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself."

...creeds...
1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

...sanctity of human life...
Psalm 139:13-16 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
