Metro

The metro was a new and exciting experience.  We rode every day to get to where we were going, and out of the rain.

Pentagon Memorial

Today we saw the Pentagon Memorial.  It was really cool to see how they designed it.  It was sad to see thememorial stones because you can figure out how old they are.  The youngest was 3 and she was on Flight 77 and the oldest was 71, a veteran who was also on Flight 77.    Emily

Arlington

My favorite part of the trip was Arlington Cemetery because it really showed to me all the people that died and cared for our country plus it was cool to see the eternal flame.  I liked the changing of the guard because it shows how much work and training they go through to do what they do each day.    - Savannah Drake-Felton

Unknown Soldier

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was very interesting. The tomb is guarded 24-7 in all weather no matter what rain sleet and even snow.the people there were very seroius about gaurding the tomb. It was very cool to me because everything hsd 21 in it like when he walked back and forth he always took 21 steps and after he flipped around his weapon he waited for 21 seconds before he left to restart the whole thing over again.

Lincoln Monument

This monument was my favorite because it had my favorite President in it.  They also had his famous speeches up on the walls, which I thought was very cool.  It also had a nice, and tall, statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair in it, which I thought was very neat.
