Guatemala Update

Sunday, January 5, 2014 What a blessing today has been! We had many God sightings today. Darryl made it safely to join usin San Pablo, Sven should be here Tuesday, we were able to get the medical clinic set up, the ovens are partially started... The list goes on and on. What God sightings have you seen today? Our God is so amazing, every day he shows us amazing things yet we seem to be surprised when we see them. Why? He is so amazing every single day, every single minute. I encourage you to look for them every day. You will be amazed at what you need & hear. We ask you to pray for us tomorrow as we start our medical clinic. Prayers for patience and guidance from Our Lord. And prayers for us all of us to stay hydrated & well. It is quite hot here, sorry Wisconsin folks. You are all in our prayers to stay safe & warm. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. Knowing we have you, means very much to us. Youth Group Paintball

On Sunday, September 23rd, St. Paul Lutheran Youth Group traveled to Wausau for Paintball. Grand Valley Adventures was very accommodating to our group.

There were three courses to play on – one was in the woods, the second was an area with wooden bunkers and the third was a "speed" course with inflatable bunkers in different shapes. Everyone had a different favorite, but we all agreed that the day was lots of fun

Thoughts from Pastor Tom

Sue has planned a great trip for us, and thanks to her for making a dry run last summer to ensure that things ran smoothly.  I have learned to appreciate the Queen city of Cincinnati, and learned more than I thought there was to learn about this area.  The Creation Museum was awesome (we have an Awesome God) and I was humbled by the planetarium experience, realizing that our galaxy is but one of millions in the universe, and our solar system only a small part of our galaxy.  And then to think that the eternal God chose to create life on earth, and then to come to planet Earth as a man to redeem his fallen creation...claiming us for our eternal home.  AWESOME.

It has been good to spend informal time with the students and great to spend time with chaperones -- its been good chemistry.  I enjoyed the ribs and picked up a recipe for Cincinnati Chili.  We are not looking forward to the all night bus trip but that is part of the journey.  It is getting time for devotions...and everyone is looking forward to being home for mother's day weekend.  Thanks for your prayers.
